Angelina Jolie made sure to keep safe while also contributing to a good cause while running errands this week, wearing a face mask of which proceeds go towards coronavirus charities.
The Tomb Raider actress was spotted out and about in Los Feliz, California on Wednesday afternoon with her son Knox, donning an Off-White Black Arrows Mask which retails for between $95-$105 (£71-£78).
However, the luxury spend wasn’t just about fashion as sales from the face masks go towards organisations providing aid during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Angelina matched her face mask with her outfit wearing a black maxi dress, while Knox rocked a Godzilla t-shirt and black jeans.
The pair popped into a shop together and emerged with Knox, 12, holding a carrier bag, before going on their merry way.
Missing from the outing was Angelina’s other children, Vivivenne, Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and Pax, who she shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt.
Angelina, 45, has been vocal during the Covid-19 pandemic and recently campaigned for children to safely return to schools.
Speaking at a Unesco and UNHCR round-table event, she said: ‘For millions of children and youth, schools are a lifeline of opportunity as well as a shield. Classrooms offer protection – or at least a reprieve – from violence, exploitation and other difficult circumstances.
‘Without urgent practical assistance, some of the children left without schooling worldwide due to the coronavirus may never set foot in a classroom again. We must find ways to try to ensure access to continuity of education for young people across the world.
‘Ensuring education for refugee children is something we can make happen, if we all come together.’
The mother-of-six also opened up about the reason she split from husband Brad in 2016 after two years of marriage.
‘I separated for the wellbeing of my family. It was the right decision. I continue to focus on their healing,’ she told Vogue Global Network.
‘Some have taken advantage of my silence, and the children see lies about themselves in the media, but I remind them that they know their own truth and their own minds. In fact, they are six very brave, very strong young people.’
