For the first time since he was banned from Twitch, Dr Disrepsect has been streaming again, as he makes a new home on YouTube.
After weeks out of the limelight, Dr Disrespect has announced he’ll be returning to streaming games, but on YouTube, not Twitch.
He actually started off on Instagram, with a promise that he would start streaming this week – although you could only hear his voice and he never actually appeared.
After that he pulled a similar trick on YouTube using his Jonny Bandini persona, where he confirmed that YouTube would be the new home for the Champions Club and his streams.
Whether he’s been signed up as an exclusive isn’t clear, but he may go into the details more on Friday, 7 August when he does his first proper livestream.
In the meantime he released a new song called Red Skies and has added a new membership button to his channel, which costs $4.99 (£3.80) a month and grants you a bunch of custom emotes, including one of the man himself.
What Dr Disrespect definitely didn’t do though is explain why he was banned from Twitch in the first place.
Last time he claimed that Twitch hadn’t told him and while many industry insiders claim to know the secret they’ve refused to say for legal reasons.
That means fans may never find out the truth. Although they’ll probably be tuning into YouTube anyway, just on the off chance he reveals all.
