Chelsea winger Willian has told close pals that he’s rejected a big money offer from Inter Miami because he wants to join Arsenal.

The Brazilian is out of contract at Stamford Bridge and the club are yet to offer him the three-year deal he craves.

Willian, 31, has received a number of offers across the world, including a lucrative one from David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

However, according to the Mirror, Willian has told close friends that he’s turned down a pay rise to move to Florida because he wants to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Willian is settled in London and doesn’t want to uproot his young family, which has played into Arsenal’s hands.

The Gunners are ready to give Willian a three-year deal on wages of £120,000-a-week, though the Brazilian has asked for the option of a fourth year.

Willian’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, has good relations with the Gunners and is brokering the deal for the winger’s move across London.

Once Willian is through the door, Arsenal will focus their efforts on signing Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian has a £45m release clause in his contract but Arsenal are unwilling to activate it, as they’d prefer to agree a lower price and to include Matteo Guendouzi in a deal.

Partey is keen on a move to London but Atletico are desperate for him to sign a new deal in order to remove the release clause in his contract.
